Beethoven’s famous Minuet in G was composed for piano in 1796. This version for string quartet takes the arrangement for violin and piano by Henry S. Sawyer from 1918 and keeps the violin part intact (including bowings and fingerings) while adapting the piano part for violin, viola, and cello. This arrangement was commissioned by the violinist Midori.
